Retiring to the South often brings with it dreams of more time spent outdoors. In this case, the homeowners’ vision included not only creating usable outdoor space but taking advantage of the spectacular views from as many rooms as possible. We started by knocking down walls between both kitchen and family room and the dining and living rooms. This filled the space with incredible light and gave the homeowners the harbor view they were looking for. The entire space was updated, including trim throughout the home and a barrel ceiling that created an inspired transition between the bar and the gentlemen’s den. Finally, we transformed a once neglected yard into an outdoor sanctuary perfect for quiet relaxation as well as more spirited gatherings with old friends and new.
