sam
Sam Lisi – Owner

Sam has worked independently as a General Contractor since 1976, gaining expertise in new home construction, historic renovation, remodeling, and commercial up-fitting. Now, as the principal of Village Restoration, he works with clients to manage the timeline, oversee the budget, and ensure that each client’s unique vision is realized. Clients of Village Restoration can expect from Sam both a confident, talented craftsman and a dedicated, trustworthy partner whose relationships with his customers endures long after the final nail is driven.
Sam’s passion for building goes back to his childhood when he worked beside his father. Often going to bed dressed for “work” so he would not miss his father’s early start, Sam attributes his high standards and business philosophy to a father who believed in the old methods, the ways of a true craftsman.
Today, Sam shares those same values, ensuring that integrity in the work product and harmony among teammates come together to build homes that are not only beautiful but that stand the test of time.

Judy Lo Res
Judy Lisi – Office Manager

Judy’s foray into home design began in her father’s floor covering business, and grew quickly when she went on to study business and interior design. As Village Restoration’s Office Manager, Judy provides the organizational skills that keep the business running smoothly, ensuring Sam, Pat, McGee, and Scott can focus on design and building. She supports the team, but is also driven by a passion for Village Restoration’s projects and people. She revels in the fact that so many good clients ultimately become good friends.

pat
Pat Lisi – Project Manager

As a child, Pat split his time building forts and pulling apart toys just to see if he could put them back together. He was fascinated by how things were made as well as how the seemingly disparate parts fit seamlessly together to make the perfect whole. Truly, no one was surprised when Pat followed in his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps and became a custom builder.
His early years were spent in cabinet making and finish carpentry. He gained experience at high-end resorts in the Florida Keys and at Patriots Point here in Mount Pleasant, learning the skills necessary to anticipate the needs of guests and deliver exemplary service, pleasing people with the most discerning tastes.
At 25, Pat partnered with McGee Stein and founded Heritage Craftsmen & Contracting, a general contracting firm. After becoming a force in its own right, Heritage merged with Village Restoration in 2010, allowing Pat to explore his creativity while working with his family to build this community-focused firm. As his mother maintains the integrity of the business and his father strives to keep each project on track, Pat works to create something beautiful and sustainable for each client. Ask Pat’s former clients to describe their experience with Village Restoration and you’ll hear: “delighted,” “overjoyed,” and “dazzled.” And all seem to agree that their job was completed better than they ever imagined it could be.

mcgee
MCGEE STEIN – Project Manager

Like other members of the team, McGee’s passion for craftsmanship and penchant for perfection were passed down from his grandfather. Both the love of building things and the desire to build them in the exceptionally beautiful Lowcountry have been alive since he was big enough to hold a hammer.
In 1999, he began his career framing custom homes on Kiawah Island, Seabrook Island, Sullivan’s Island and throughout the Charleston area. Using both conventional and modern methods, he gained experience working on a variety of homes and commercial buildings, until work in one of Charleston’s oldest neighborhoods shone the light on what would become his lifelong passion: historical renovation and preservation.
Whether building a home from the ground up or restoring an old gem to former grandeur, McGee is driven by the desire to transform someone’s long-held dream into reality.

scott
Scott Wood – Managing Superintendent

Scott’s love for woodworking began in his father’s workshop. In 2004, he accepted a position installing staircases and a year later launched his own hardwood flooring business. On a subcontracted project, he crossed paths with Sam and marveled at the level of excellence Sam expected from his workers. Scott surpassed Sam’s expectations so when Scott sought him out several months later, Sam was thrilled to welcome him into the company. Scott has worked as a valued member of Village Restoration ever since.

Thanks so much for my “new” house. I can’t wait until we can do my next project.
